Catching Up
I was just thinking the other day about this blog. I wondered how long it had been since my last post. Well, it has been almost about 10 months. YIKES! I have decided that I will attempt to post a once a month update. We have been staying in contact with friends and family via Facebook, but this is another nice way to chronicle our lives. Stay tune for pictures and updates.
Beautiful, beautiful baby!
Here are some recent pictures of my adorable niece Madison. She amazes me with her cuteness everytime I see her. I am lucky enough to get to watch her every Sunday and be a part of her life as she grows and develops. Once summer starts, I think I'll be watching her twice a week. Tell me this face isn't the cutest thing ever!!
Update on the Love's
Well, it's been awhile since I have posted on here and I think it is in large part due to the fact that both Andrew and I are consumed by Facebook. If you do not already have an account, you should get one. It is a great way to stay in contact with friends and family. For those resisting here is what we have been up to lately.
Andrew and I have been working on various house projects both inside and outside of the house. It feels like it will never end!
I am getting ready to end another school year. This year has been a huge change for me as I moved schools and positions last Fall. As if that was not hectic enough, I CHOSE to move schools and positions again for next year!! I know, it sounds crazy. I will be an Instructional Coach at East Gresham Elementary, still in my same district. I will be working with teachers on instructional practices to improve student achievment. One piece of good news is that I am getting to go back to work for my original principal, whom I really enjoy working with. I'll keep you posted as I learn this new job.
My summer plans include a lot of relaxing. I will do Royal Fmaily Kids' Camp again through my church in late June. I am also taking a road trip with my good friend Kerri to the Grand Canyon. Think Thelma and Louise. We have been planning this since high school in celebration of our 30th birthdays (which snuck up on us!!).
Not much else is new with the Love's. I will try to post more often, especially with the extra time that summer will bring.

My baby turns 2!!
Sadie turned 2 on April 20th. We celebrated by letting her pick out a new bed and a new toy. She has since destroyed the toy. I can't believe my little baby is already 2!! Here she is carrying her dinosaur around the house.
Gardening Attempt
Here are a few snapshots of my attempt at gardening this Spring. I planted carrots, beans, broccoli, strawberries, jalapenos, and an assortment of herbs. We'll see what I actually harvest. A squirrel has already been eating my strawberries as they ripen! We removed two trees/giant shrubs that were in front of our house to make way for a flower garden. We have more plans for this space but here is what it looks like for now.
Race season begins
Well, race might not be the correct word to use. I run in races, but I really do not "race" against anyone. I enjoy running in races for the feel of accomplishment and to keep me on track with my running. The free t-shirts aren't too bad either. Here is a picture from my first race of the season, the Red Lizard 5-Miler. Andrew and Sadie came down to support me. It turns out Sadie could have ran with me but I left her dog jogging belt at home. Too bad, maybe next time.
Madison
Here are a few more pictures of my niece, Madison. She is cuter and cuter each time I see her. My brother and his wife report that she is a good eater and sleeper, how wonderful. Every time I see her she is sleeping. How adorable, right?
My brand new niece!
My brother and his wife had their baby last week on January 29. They did not find out the sex of the baby until it's birth...it's a girl!!! Her name is Madison Nicole and she weighed in at 8 lbs. 9 oz. and is 20 in. long. She is adorable! Here are just the first few pictures from the hospital. This little girl is going to be decked out in pink. I have bought Steve and Tonya many baby gifts throughout the pregnancy, and for her baby shower, but as soon as I found out it was a girl I raced to Target and bought everything I could find that was cute and pink. It's all waiting for them at their house when they get home tomorrow. I can't wait to spoil Madison even more.
Welcome to 2009!
Well, we made it through "Arctic Blast 2008" and things are much more normal around here. I have gone back to work, the snow has melted, rain has begun to fall and I am looking towards all of the things that 2009 will bring.
This past year I was a little bit out of the running circuit. I only ran about 5 races last year. This year I plan to go back to running at least 1, maybe 2, races per month. I will try to list my planned races on the sidebar. Feel free to join me on any if you'd like. My running partner, Lindsey, will likely accompany me on most.
I am also hoping to find out in the next few months if I'll be going back to the classroom next year. This year I have been teaching ELL and am terribly missing being a classroom teacher. I put in to transfer back but it will be a matter of a spot opening up. Pray one does!!
